BUT WHAT IF MY BABY CRIES?!

As you look at your beautiful wee baby who's about eight months old, you just can't help but feel so much love for this tiny human being. You snap pictures on your phone constantly of your wee baby morning till night and your phone memory is nearly full. You select the cutest images (although let's be honest.. they're all cute) to show off to your friends and family on Facebook and show off cute videos of them telling you stories on Instagram. You have so much love for this tiny human being and you KNOW they won't stay this little for long. Once they begin to learn how to climb the sofa and stand up holding on, then they learn how to put one step in front of the other and before you know it they're walking away with their suitcase packed!
Too soon!? I know right! You want to halt this moment immediately!

Are you reading this and both excited and worried? You may be worried that your baby will get tired or grouchy and ruin the session. Well this blog post is here to reassure you that baby is the sole focus in these sessions. Firstly, upon booking your session and securing your date, we send you a prep and styling guide to inform you of:
- What to wear
- What to bring
- What to remember
- How to get to the studio
Then upon the session itself if I feel baby is too upset even after multiple efforts in soothing baby or distracting her, which could be perhaps she didn't get a good nights sleep, her teething is unbearable or is coming down with a wee bug. We reschedule the session for the next available slot in the diary.
This happens and it is completely ok. Babies get unhappy because they can't speak to tell us what's wrong.
Recently I chose to do a live video of a snippet in one of my Sitter Sessions to show what its like behind the scenes to envision what your little one will be like. As you watch the video you'll hear a short snippet of little baby April at approx 5:50minutes in crying for 3 seconds but she soon forgot about it after encouragement from Myself and Nanny behind camera (who had keys which she loved!) I just want to prove to you that we do not expect babies to be constantly smiling and laughing in the studio as this is why you purchase a professional photography session. On the small moments Baby tell us stories; smile and dance at a jiggling of keys, tilt their head posing in a funny way or laugh at playing BOO are all documented in beautiful timeless photographs that you go on to see on the website and displayed around the parents home.
