Where are you based?
I am based in Ravenhill in Belfast, this is just a 10 minute walk from central station and is very close to local bus stops that can get you to and from the city centre.
Do you have a studio?
I have a beautiful cosy home studio which has it's fantastic benefits of comfort for mummy and for baby as they feel they are back in a home instead of a complete strange scenario. The studio has also reaped its benefits for children on the autistic spectrum.
How do I book a session with you?
Firstly browse through my website to view the style of images you will receive. If you like what you see you can send me a message using the book now tab, or you can ring me on 07881104588 where we can have an informal chat to discuss your needs. Please bear in mind weekends are usually booked up 3 weeks in advance. Newborn sessions ideally should take place within the first 2 weeks of their lives. Please book during pregnancy to avoid disappointment.
What happens if my children misbehave during the shoot?
I ask all parents not to worry or be anxious about their children on the photo-shoot. I am a strong believer about the energy in the room and if the parents begin to stress out, the children/baby will feel that and react. I am relaxed and confident in working with your children. If one of your children is not co-operating I may ask for them to take a short break while we photograph the other child on their own. Many times, without parents looking on, children are remarkably well behaved and co-operative!
When will we see our images?
Around 10 days after your shoot we will conduct a viewing and ordering session in the studio.
You can sit down and relax, and I will present your images in a slideshow for you to watch and together we will decide how you would like to display your images. Samples of all products are available to view during the viewing and ordering appointment.
I will show you from around 25-30 beautifully edited and retouched images. They will be a mixture of vibrant colour images and also a select few images in black and white. From these images you can choose which prints and products you would like to order. There is no hard sell and you are free to order only what you LOVE!
HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION LAST?
Normally around 60 minutes for baby and family sessions. I know that children and babies have limited attention spans so it’s not long before they get bored! But I don’t rush you, if your little one wants a snack or break, that’s fine. I keep shooting until I have everything I need. Newborns are much different as they require a lot more feeds so the session last up to four hours.
CAN WE BRING OUR DOG TO THE SHOOT?
Yes YES YES! I have a dog myself and understand how they are part of the family. I love photographing children with their four-legged friends.
Please let me know in advance if you wish to bring your dog along to the shoot so I can make sure I have some treats in my pocket!
What should we bring to the photo shoot? Make sure everyone has been fed before the photoshoot. It’s always a good idea to bring water. Other than that, just your general changing bag that you'd carry with you on your days out!
How much does a family photo session cost? The session fee is £45 for baby/family sessions and £70 for newborns. The packages to purchase prints or digitals begin from £179-£500
